HuntLine IQ Data Retention & Deletion Policy

HuntLine IQ is committed to retaining information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, provide requested services, protect users, maintain platform integrity, comply with applicable law, and fulfill the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
This policy explains how HuntLine IQ approaches the retention, deletion, de-identification, and secure disposal of information.
2. Our Philosophy
Responsible stewardship of information includes responsible deletion.
Not every type of information serves the same purpose, and not every category should be retained for the same amount of time.

Generally retained while your account remains active or until you choose to delete the content, subject to the exceptions described in this policy.
Account Information
Examples include:
- Account profile information.
- Authentication records.
- Subscription status.
- Account preferences.
Retained as reasonably necessary to operate your account and fulfill applicable legal and operational obligations.
Platform Information
Examples include:
- Security logs.
- Authentication events.
- Diagnostic logs.
- Crash reports.
- Fraud indicators.
- Device integrity signals.
Retention periods vary depending on operational and security requirements.
Payment Information
Payment processing is generally handled by third-party payment providers.
HuntLine IQ typically retains only limited transaction information reasonably necessary for accounting, subscription management, customer support, tax reporting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
Anonymous & Aggregated Information
Information that has been anonymized or aggregated so that it can no longer reasonably identify an individual user, private hunting property, or specific hunting activity may be retained indefinitely for purposes including:
- Product improvement.
- Statistical analysis.
- Intelligence development.
- Historical trend analysis.
- Wildlife research.
- Platform performance evaluation.
4. User-Initiated Deletion
Where platform functionality allows, users may request deletion of:
- Their account.
- Hunting Logs.
- Images.
- User Content.
- Other eligible information.
Deletion requests will be processed within a reasonable period, subject to applicable law and legitimate operational requirements.
5. Information We May Retain
Even after deletion requests, HuntLine IQ may retain limited information where reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law.
- Resolve disputes.
- Detect or prevent fraud.
- Protect platform security.
- Enforce agreements.
- Preserve audit records.
- Defend legal claims.
- Restore backup systems.
- Protect platform integrity.
Retained information will generally be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.
6. Backups
Information scheduled for deletion may continue to exist temporarily within secure backup or disaster recovery systems until those backups are overwritten or otherwise expire under normal operational processes.
Backup copies are not maintained for the purpose of restoring deleted user information except where reasonably necessary for disaster recovery or system restoration.
7. Secure Disposal
When information is no longer reasonably necessary to retain, HuntLine IQ seeks to securely delete, de-identify, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of the information using methods appropriate to the nature of the information and the systems involved.
8. Policy Updates
As technology, legal requirements, and platform operations evolve, HuntLine IQ may update this policy to reflect improved retention and deletion practices.
Material changes will be communicated as appropriate.
